Miraleste
Panoramic views from the eastern bluffs
About Miraleste
Miraleste sits on the eastern slopes of the Peninsula, and the views go on forever — harbor lights, the downtown skyline, Catalina on a clear day. It's a different perspective than the western bluffs, and a different feel too.
This is the more relaxed side of the Hill. The lots are generous, many homes sit on grade changes that create interesting multi-level floor plans, and the neighborhood has a quiet confidence about it. You're close to San Pedro's waterfront revival, Point Fermin, the Korean Bell, and some of the best unsung coastal access on the Peninsula.
Miraleste draws people who want the Peninsula schools and safety without the PVE price premium. It's technically in RPV, which means lower property taxes than PVE, and you still get PVPUSD schools — specifically the Panthers track through Miraleste Intermediate and PV Peninsula High School.
Real Estate
Miraleste offers the best value proposition on the Peninsula for buyers who prioritize space and views over walkability to a village center. Homes here trend larger, lots run deeper, and you'll find ocean-and-city view properties at prices that would buy you an inland lot in Lunada Bay. The eastern exposure means morning light and harbor sunset reflections.
Schools
Miraleste has its own intermediate school — Miraleste Intermediate feeds into PV Peninsula High School (Panthers). The PVPHS campus is excellent, 10/10 on GreatSchools, and the athletics program is particularly strong. Montemalaga Elementary serves the K-5 kids here.
Miraleste Intermediate

Dining & Local Favorites
Golden Cove Shopping Center is your closest hub — Avenue Italy for Italian, Swan Thai for reliable Thai, and a handful of neighborhood services. San Pedro's restaurant scene has come a long way and is just down the hill.
Community Pulse
White Point Nature Preserve is right in the neighborhood — the PVPLC runs volunteer days and nature walks here regularly.
The San Pedro waterfront revitalization is bringing new restaurants, a cruise terminal expansion, and arts venues just minutes downhill.
Korean Friendship Bell and Angels Gate Park offer some of the best free views in Los Angeles County.
